Our program provides a researched and theme-based curriculum that includes activity plans that are a vehicle for teaching a range of skills and content by integrating curriculum areas around a topic. This teaching method links curriculum and Ohio Early Learning Developmental standards and capitalizes on children’s interests, creating a sense of purpose and community in the classroom. By building on their interests and life experiences, young people’s attitudes, skills, and knowledge are developed in meaningful ways. Inquiry and communication are activated by a desire to know more, resulting in enthusiastic participation in there learning process.
Our program is certified to perform screeners on all of our enrolled children. Screening tools in early childhood centers are used to identify potential developmental, health, or sensory concerns in children. This allows for timely referrals for evaluation and intervention, potentially preventing or mitigating negative impacts on a child's development and learning. Screening tools help pinpoint children who might be experiencing delays or differences in development, such as cognitive, motor, communication, or social-emotional delays. By identifying these concerns early, educators and healthcare professionals can provide appropriate support and interventions, such as specialized therapies or adjusted curriculum, while the child is still in their most formative years.
Our program is certified to perform assessments to the children that are enrolled in our program. We use two different types of assessments, which are: Ohio's ELA Assessment and TS GOLD Teaching Strategies. Early childhood assessments, identify important outcomes for children from birth to age 5, and utilize various methods like observation, play-based assessments, and standardized tests to understand a child's development and learning needs. In early childhood education, assessments are systematic processes that gather information about a child's, strengths, and weaknesses and their development, learning, and progress, informing instruction and helping educators make informed decisions about individual children and groups.
